North Carolina Marine Fisheries Proclamation FF-16-2022 closed the commercial longline harvest of golden tilefish due to the annual catch limit being met.

The hook-and-line component of the commercial golden tilefish fishery remains open at this time.

The closure was effective at 12:0l a.m. on March 16, 2022. The fishery will reopen Jan. 1, 2023.

The longline closure extends to the waters under the jurisdiction of North Carolina and the South Atlantic Fishery Management Council.
