Mother of missing Belhaven teen issues emotional plea; FBI and NC SBI assisting local authorities

UPDATE: Mary Alexandra Pagliaro has been safely located.
Federal and state agencies have joined local authorities in the search for a teen reported missing from Belhaven.
According to information released Tuesday, January 25, 2022 by the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office, Mary Alexandra Pagliaro, 15, is missing from the 200 block of Duke St. in Belhaven.
She is described as 5’6” and 210 lbs. with long brown hair and hazel eyes. She was last seen on foot wearing a pink and white sweatshirt with grey sweatpants and her hair in ponytail.
On Thursday, January 27, the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children stated that the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the North Carolina Bureau of Investigation, as well as the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office are assisting the Belhaven Police Department and “are very concerned for her safety.”
The National Center for Missing & Exploited Children also released video of Terri Pagliaro – the teen’s mother – sharing information about her daughter as well as pleading for her return.
