North Carolinians have the chance to play for a $325 million jackpot in Friday’s Mega Millions drawing, according to the North Carolina Education Lottery. A winner could take home the jackpot as an annuity paying out the $325 million over 29 years or choose instead to take home $224.1 million in cash.

“Every single drawing, such as Tuesday’s drawing that produced two $10,000 winners, results in wins for our players,” said Mark Michalko, executive director of the N.C. Education Lottery. “While we are all rooting for someone in North Carolina to win the jackpot, there are plenty of other prizes available as well.”

The current $325 million jackpot would be the largest Mega Millions jackpot ever won in North Carolina. There have been two previous Mega Millions jackpot winners in the state. The odds of winning a Mega Millions jackpot are one in 302 million.
