A luncheon for Dare County Unit of North Carolina Retired School Personnel members and guests will be held December 1 at noon. The event announcement states those who attend should be vaccinated.
The holiday luncheon will be held at 3 Tequilas (formerly Roosters’ Southern Kitchen) in Kill Devil Hills. “All retired school personnel are welcome, from any state: our Unit is looking forward to seeing all members in person,” stated the event announcement. “Please bring a food donation or a check for a local food charity of your choice, and be ready to celebrate with local educators.”
The group has been meeting remotely since February 2021. Members put together a “Sweet Treat” bowl for each of the 11 school staffs, cafeteria workers and school bus teams in the Dare County Schools system (along with the Central Office staff) for the end of the last school year.
The charitable group will continue in their main goal: raising money for college bound students who are planning to further their education in teaching.
