A Rocky Mount man was sentenced to 120 months in prison for stealing ammunition and firearms in Elm City, North Carolina, according to a September 9 press release from the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Eastern District of North Carolina. Cecil Terrance Reams, 48, entered his guilty plea on June 8, 2021.
According to court documents and other information presented in court, Reams, co-defendant Brandon Shane Reams, 42, and another male subject broke into a residence in Elm City in the early morning hours of August 29, 2018. The Wilson County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene and determined the group stole three rifles, an undetermined amount of ammunition, and a television from the property, according to the release.

Officers reviewed both subjects’ ankle monitor movements, which showed both men at the Elm City property at the time of the break-in.”
