The newest officer of the Manteo Police Department was recently sworn in at Town Hall.
Officer Tanner Grogan is a native of North Carolina and grew up in Ashe County. He completed four years of Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC), was in the Honor Guard and served his home community as a volunteer firefighter for two years.
“His experiences and enthusiasm are a perfect fit for community policing,” noted a Town of Manteo press release. “He loves to fish and pretty much do anything outdoors, so he was ready to head out here to the coast of North Carolina. The Town of Manteo is excited for Tanner to join our staff family. Please help us in welcoming Officer Grogan to our wonderful community!”
