The Dare County Board of Commissioners meets Aug. 2, 2021, at 9 a.m., for a regularly scheduled meeting in the Commissioners Meeting Room at 954 Marshall C. Collins Dr. in Manteo.

A time for public comment is offered close to the beginning of the meeting. Those wishing to make public comment may do so at the meeting in Manteo or from the Fessenden Center Annex on Buxton Back Road.

On the agenda is a public hearing about installment financing for the board’s purchase of property for a youth center in Manteo and a new Emergency Medical Station in Kill Devil Hills.

The Dare County Tourism Board will present an update about the Soundside Event Center and Site.

A special use permit for expanding a storage business in Manns Harbor is on the agenda.
