Joining together for National Day of Prayer

The 2021 National Day of Prayer was commemorated May 6 at the Dare County Courthouse in Manteo. Participating churches included Manteo First Assembly, Manteo Baptist, Father’s Tabernacle, Coastal Family, Mt. Olivet, Source Church, Wanchese Assembly of God, Dare Challenge, The Ark Church and Wanchese Christian Academy.

Participants in the ceremony were, from left, first row, Pastor DuWayne Gibbs, Pastor Frank Lassen; second row, Jason Sherwood, Pastor Kenny Midgett, Pastor Stephen Wescott, Mary Ann Sherwood; third row, Bonita Hurdle, Cindy Arendts, Danny Burdette, Pastor Steve Smith and Israel Diaz; and fourth row, Holly Strum, Jason Waughtel and Pastor Jonatan Zara.
