MedAssist is returning to Tyrrell County with its mobile free pharmacy.

On April 9 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., free over-the-counter medications will be available at Tyrrell Hall at 906 U.S. 64 in Columbia.

Vidant-Chowan Hospital is supporting the event.

This will be a 100% drive-through event. All participants will remain in vehicles or on foot in the drive-through line.

Participants have the option to order medication at form.123formbuilder.com/5804436/form.

Individuals receive items that include, but are not limited to, pain relief, cold and cough, allergy and digestive medicines, vitamins and children’s medicines.

For those unable to register online, a generic bag of medicine will be prepared in advance. Due to the nature of the drive-through events and COVID-19 restrictions, the mobile operation is unable to exchange medicine the day of the event.
