Dare County Board of Commissioners meets Feb. 1, 2021 at 9 a.m.
The commissioners will gather at 954 Marshall C. Collins Dr., Manteo.
For the public, the meeting is streamed on the county’s YouTube channel due to COVID-19 meeting restrictions.
The meeting features three agenda topics.
Two topics come from the county’s Planning Board. The commissioners take up a conditional use permit application for a group development for Maritime Ridge Cluster Homes at 50636 NC 12 Hwy. in Frisco. The application calls for four 900 square-foot units.
Additional revisions to the travel trailer park and campground ordinance are on the agenda. The planning board returns to the board with a proposal for modifying the ratio of camping sites to camping cabin sites.
Dare County Home Health and Hospice is also on the agenda. Two items are in the meeting packet: a proposed resolution for adoption and a public notice published on Jan. 20.
In order to investigate the options for delivering home health and hospice services, the state’s general statutes require that the county declare its intent to sell the current certificate of need to operate the service.
County manager Robert L. Outten said no decision has been made to sell the agency, information which he delivered to the current staff. The commissioners will issue a request for proposals which the notice solicits.
The meeting concludes with a four-item consent agenda, appointment of two members to the county’s Transportation Advisory Board, commissioner comments and manager’s business.
