Betsy Ballance Midgette, 69, of Grandy, died November 15, 2020 at her home surrounded by loved ones.

She was born August 3, 1951 in Wanchese to Dorita Brickhouse Ballance of Wanchese and the late Larry McCoy Ballance Sr.

In addition to her mother, survivors include husband Wayne Midgette; children Scott Midgette (Tarra) and Monica Midgette, all of Kitty Hawk; grandchildren Cleat, Landon, Brayden, Ben; a great-grandchild; siblings Becky B. Beacham (Carl) of Wanchese, Larry M. Ballance Jr. (Carletta) of Wanchese, Cathy B. Daniels (Mark) of Lakeland, Fla. and Bill Ballance (Mary Ann) of Great Falls, Mont.

A memorial service was held November 17 at Bethany United Methodist Church with Rev. Bill Ballance officiating.
