In an email to Dare County Schools families Thursday evening, Superintendent John Farrelly reported that Dare County Schools had been informed of a lab-confirmed COVID-19 case at First Flight High School.

“Upon initiation of contact tracing, the Dare County Department of Health and Human Services identified thirty (30) stakeholders who have been identified as direct contacts,” stated Farrelly. “These stakeholders will begin quarantining immediately following NC Department of Health and Human Services guidelines.”

FFHS will be closed Friday for students and staff so the building can be cleaned and sanitized. The school is slated to reopen Monday, November 9.
