Manteo Town Hall closed for COVID-19 disinfection

The Town of Manteo received news Tuesday, October 13 of a reported case of COVID-19 in which the person had been in the first floor of Town Hall, according to a press release from the town. As a result, Town Hall will be closed and disinfected with a reopening anticipated at 8:30 a.m. on Monday, October 19.
All town services will continue to be delivered as usual and all other town facilities will remain open.
“The Town of Manteo’s highest priority is the health, safety, and welfare of community members, staff, and other stakeholders,” stated the release. “We are taking these necessary steps in accordance with our Incident Action Plan, and this approach allows us to ensure continuity of government while maintaining delivery of critical services to the community.”

“Thank you for your patience and understanding during this time,” concluded the release.
