William Lopez, 85, of Kitty Hawk, died Thursday, June 14, 2018, at the Outer Banks Hospital.

Born Sept. 12, 1932, in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico, he was the son of the late Felicita Gonzalez Santa Lopez and Tiburcio Lopez De La Rosa.

William is survived by a daughter, Amira Lopez-Sansotta of Kitty Hawk; a son, Steven Lopez Villanueva of Puerto Rico; two grandchildren, Jessica Coscia Ferns and Steven Lopez; and three sisters, Lillian, Celeste and Noemit. Preceding him in death are his wife, Maria Lopez-Villanueva, and his sister, Haydee Lopez.

In keeping with William’s wishes, there will be no service at this time. The family request friends and relatives say a prayer in thanksgiving of William’s life.
