NC 12 on Ocracoke has reopened to traffic. Sand and water remains on the roadway, so NCDOT advises that all motorists should drive with extreme caution.

North Carolina Ferry Service announced that ferry service has resumed at Hatteras Inlet since that Highway 12 has reopened on Ocracoke Island.

NC 12 remains closed on Hatteras between Rodanthe and the Basnight Bridge.
