Hyde COVID-19 cases stand at 13 with four active

On July 2, Hyde County Health Department issued an update regarding COVID-19 stating that the county now has a total of 13 laboratory confirmed cases of COVID-19.
“The good news is that nine of those cases have recovered,” states the release.
As of July 2, the county has four active cases, none of whom are hospitalized.
The news release further stated “Press releases of each new case have ceased.”

“You must realize that this website may not be updated as frequently as our internal reports, so information on this website may be slower than our own,” stated the release. “Also, COVID-19 cases are very likely to climb in Hyde County. Please continue to practice safety protocols and if you are not, please consider doing so for the safety of others. Prevention of spread is up to us, the people, and how assertive we are with our efforts.
“Remember, wear your mask, wait 6 feet between others, and wash your hands.”
