Dare suspends residential and commercial trash collection due to Tropical Storm Arthur

Due to anticipated inclement weather associated with Tropical Storm Arthur, Dare County Public Works has suspended trash collection scheduled for Monday, May 18 for residential customers in Colington, Kitty Hawk, Buxton, Frisco and Hatteras.

The county requests trash cans be removed from the roadway and properly secured until the storm passes.

Monday’s commercial collection in Kitty Hawk, Colington, Manteo, Wanchese, Manns Harbor, Stumpy Point, Rodanthe, Waves, Salvo, Avon, Buxton, Frisco and Hatteras is also suspended.
