North Carolina Division of Marine Fisheries Proclamation FF-10-2020 opens the recreation flounder season at 12:01 a.m., Sunday, Aug. 16, 2020, in Internal Coastal Waters and Atlantic Ocean Waters.

The proclamation closes the recreation fishery at Midnight, Wednesday, Sept. 30, 2020.

Recreational size is at least 15 inches total length.

Creel limit is “four (4) flounder per person per day or per trip if a trip occurs on more than one calendar day.”

“This action is being taken to comply with the requirements of Amendment 2 to the N.C. Southern Flounder Fishery Management Plan,” states the proclamation.
