Currituck Holiday Festivities. 5:30 to 8 p.m. at N.C. Cooperative Extension-Currituck County Center. Reindeer games at 5:30, annual tree lighting at 6:30; Currituck’s Annual Holiday Parade at 7. Come out early and play holiday-themed games, view the County Tree Lighting, and enjoy some cookies and hot cocoa. Then grab your spot for the Holiday parade hosted by the Currituck County Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #89.

Lighted Boat Parade Elizabeth City Waterfront. 7 to 9 p.m. To enter your boat in the parade, contact the PRYC at 252-331-3355. Ugly Christmas Sweater Party. 7 to 10 p.m. at Village Beach Club Nags Head. This free event includes silent auction, raffles, prizes for the ugliest sweater, light hors d’oevres and cash bar.

Breakfast with Santa. 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. Hatteras Preschool’s annual Breakfast with Santa fundraiser. Hatteras Village Civic Center, 56658 NC 12, Hatteras. Breakfast includes pancakes, eggs, bacon & sausage cooked by local guardsmen from Station Hatteras. Daniel Pullen making pictures with Santa ($5). Breakfast $8 for adults, $4 for children under 12.

Gather at the Duck Town Park for holiday music by Just Playing Dixieland, tasty treats from local Duck businesses, and the lighting of the Crab Pot Tree in preparation for Santa’s arrival on the duck Fire Engine. The Modern Jazztet Christmas. 7:30 to 9 p.m. at Dare County Arts Council. Admission is $10 and 100% of the proceeds go towards the band.

SUNDAY, Dec. 8

7th Annual Breakfast with Santa Fundraiser. 9 a.m. to Noon at Pamlico Jack’s, 6708 S. Croatan Hwy, Nags Head. After Dec. 6, you’ll be able to pay the usual $10 per person at the door.
