Janice Ann Rogerson Modlin, 85, of Plymouth died November 29, 2019 at her residence in Plymouth surrounded by family.

Born June 29, 1934 in Martin County, she was the daughter of the late Grover Rogerson and Maude Lee Holliday Rogerson and was preceded in death by grandson William David Steele and son-in-law Bob Nunnally. Janice was a homemaker and member of Hope Free Will Baptist Church.

Her family includes husband William Haywood “Bill” Modlin of Plymouth; daughters Joyce Modlin Steele and husband Douglas and Harriet Modlin Nunnally both of Plymouth; sister Peggy R. Whitfield of Hamilton; brothers Charles Rogerson of Williamston and Lin Rogerson of Carlsbad, Calif..; four grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and thirteen great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral service was held December 2 at Hope Free Will Baptist Church with Reverend Leonard Bowers and Reverend Jeff Person officiating. Burial followed in Hillside Memorial Gardens.
