Dare County offices will be closed on Thursday, Nov. 28 and Friday, Nov. 29 in observance of the Thanksgiving.

The Buxton Transfer Station, the C&D Landfill in Manns Harbor, the Rodanthe Recycle Center and the Manteo Recycle Yard will be closed on Thursday, Nov. 28 and Friday, Nov. 29 in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday.

Dare County public works will conduct one residential trash pickup per area the week of Thanksgiving.

Residential trash collection is as follows:

– Monday, Nov. 25: Kitty Hawk, Colington, Buxton, Frisco and Hatteras

– Tuesday, Nov. 26: Manteo, Wanchese, East Lake, Stumpy Point, Rodanthe, Waves, Salvo and Avon

– Wednesday, Nov. 27: No residential pick up

– Thursday, Nov. 28: Closed

– Friday, Nov. 29: Closed

Commercial dumpsters will be emptied Monday, Nov. 25 and Wednesday, Nov. 27.
