Carolina Storm teams play hard in state competition

The Carolina Storm youth football teams came up short of a win this weekend at the state championship.

The 10U team feel short 13-6 on Saturday. “It was a true heartbreaker,” John Cooper said. “They had the game in hand and it slipped away.” However, the team they were up against is used to beating everyone 30 and 40 to 0. The Storm gave them a run for their money.

The 8U and 12U teams competed on Sunday. Both teams were defeated, but the team “played hard, showed great sportsmanship and plan to bring it to them next year,” said Elissa Cooper.
