Submissions still open for Homegrown and Homemade contest

There is still time to create and submit your entries for the 2019 Homegrown and Homemade contest held at the Currituck Heritage Festival. The festival will take place at the Currituck County Rural Center located at 184 Milburn Sawyer Road in Powells Point on Saturday, November 2.

Contest entries are being accepted for both youth and adult divisions of arts and crafts; baked and canned goods; homegrown gourds and largest pumpkin.  Entry is free and monetary prizes will be given to Best in Show in all categories.

Rules and entry forms can be found on the Currituck County Extension website at go.ncsu.edu/handhcontest2019.

Return forms and canned entries no later than Wednesday, October 23. For all other entries, arrive at the Homegrown and Homemade booth by 3 p.m. on November 2. No entries will be accepted after 3 p.m. For more information or to request an entry form be mailed or emailed to you, call 232-2261 or email Adam_Formella@ncsu.edu.
