Kitty Hawk Planning Board approves new requirements for minimum roof pitch

Published 6:02 am Tuesday, October 1, 2019

The Kitty Hawk Planning Board met Thursday, Sept. 19 at Kitty Hawk Town Hall to discuss adjusting the text amendment for minimum roof pitch.

The proposal for the revised amendment removed the statement “The structure shall have a minimum roof pitch of three feet by 12 feet.”

“The structure” was replaced with multi-family dwellings in the amendment wording. Therefore, multi-family dwellings are now required to have a minimum roof pitch of three feet by 12 feet.
