North Carolina Division of Marine Fisheries Proclamation PA-94-2019 returned some waters in Brunswick, Carteret, Pamlico, Beaufort, Hyde and Dare counties to the shellfish harvesting status in existence immediately prior to the Aug. 17 and Sept. 4 temporary closures, including the following areas: Shallotte River, Lockwoods Folly River, Bogue Sound, a portion of Newport River, a portion of Pamlico Sound, a portion of Pamlico River, Pungo River, Rose Bay, Swanquarter Bay, Juniper Bay, Wysocking Bay, and Long Shoal River.

The proclamation was effective at sunrise, Sept. 20.

Remaining closed are all those waters in Pamlico Sound bounded by a line at the base of the Oregon Inlet Bridge near the Oregon Inlet Coast Guard Station, running southwesterly to Camp Point near Cedar Island, running easterly near Wainwright Island to a point on Core Banks to include a portion of Pamlico Sound, Portsmouth Island, Ocracoke Inlet, Ocracoke Island, Hatteras Inlet and Hatteras Island.

Additional closures are Ocean Isle to South Carolina state line, portions of the Newport River and Neuse River, Gale Creek and Intracoastal Waterway, Mouse Harbor, Big Porpoise Bay and Middle Bay, Oyster Creek, James Creek, Middle Prong and Clark Creek, and Pamlico River and Goose Creek.
