Beginning April 1, 2018, North Carolina Watermen United will offer a Group Health Plan to its Members.

It will be available to Corporate and Regular Members with the choice of two options provided by Select Power Solutions which is underwritten by American Fidelity.

Health Savings Account-Eligible Plan

—Has higher deductible, lower premium plan.

—Has option to open bank account (Called Health Savings Account; HSA) and put that deductible amount in the bank with the ability to write it off taxable income.

—Allows money in bank account to be used to pay all medical bills and will rollover year to year.

—Is good for people without the need for regular medical attention

Co-pay Plan

—Has slightly higher premium, lower deductible plan.

—Has Co-pays for Doctor visits and prescription costs.

—Is good for someone who takes regular monthly medications or needs to see Doctors more frequently.

Corporate Member, starting at $500, with the following benefits:

—Shall be any Individual, Firm, Corporation, Partnership or Institution that has an interest in supporting the Goals and Objectives of NCWU.

—Will be eligible to apply for NCWU Group Health Insurance for themselves and their employees (minimum of two) through Power Select Solutions.

—Will have a Link on the NCWU Web Page that leads directly to their website.

—Will receive Discounts on Merchandise and Events.

Regular Member, $200, with the following benefits:

—Shall be any Individual, Firm, Partnership or Institution that has an interest in supporting the Goals and Objectives of NCWU.

—Will be eligible (With a minimum of two employees) to apply for NCWU Group Health Insurance through Power Select Solutions.

—Will be listed on the NCWU Website

—Will receive Discounts on Merchandise and Events.

Associate Member, $75, with the following benefits:

—Shall be any Individual who has an interest in supporting the Goals and Objectives of NCWU.

—Will be listed on the NCWU Website.

—Will receive Discounts on Merchandise and Events.

NOTE: All NCWU Members will receive a Tel-a-Doc Wellness Card.

The renewal date for Membership will be one year from the previous payment. An invoice will be sent 30 days prior to the renewal date.
