Randy Jae Stitt, 43, of Stumpy Point, died June 18, 2019, in Suffolk, Va.

Born in Altoona, Pa. on March 23, 1976, he was the son of Lori Rosser and Andrew Stitt.

“My Randy,” as he was known by family and friends, was free-spirited, loved the outdoors, horseshoes, cooking and the beach. He was a talented carpenter who was consistent and hardworking. My Randy never met a stranger.

In addition to his parents, Randy is survived by children Sadie Stitt and Cole Harris; brothers Jeremy Stitt, Gabriel Stitt (Kiandre) and Ian Stitt; stepfather Richard Rosser; grandmother, Catherine Mastalski; aunts and uncles John “Randy” and Becky Kowalczyk, Jackie and Rob Rabenstein, Mary and Tony Miller, Autumn and Mark Kleiner, Chrissy and Rich Wyrwas, Beth and Jim Noye, Elaine and Doug Hunsucker, and Allan Kowalczyk; as well as nieces, cousins, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by grandfather John Andrew Kowalczyk.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on June 22 at Twiford Colony Chapel in Manteo. Following the service, the family will receive friends and relatives from 3-6 p.m. at Longboards Island Grill in Kitty Hawk.
