Elizabeth City Police Department seeks assistance from public in Bowe homicide investigation

The Elizabeth City Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance to identify any suspects responsible for the murder of Caleb Jeremiah Bowe. A reward is being offered for information leading to the identification and arrest of the person or persons involved in this murder. “Mr. Bowe’s family and friends are seeking some form of resolution as they try to navigate this difficult and painful circumstance,” stated an ECPD news release.
On August 26, 2024 at around 11:45 a.m., Elizabeth City Police Department officers responded to the area of Oak Grove Avenue in Elizabeth City in reference to suspicious conditions.
“Upon arrival, officers discovered a deceased male in a vehicle in the 100 Block of Oak Grove Avenue. The deceased subject was identified as Caleb Jeremiah Bowe, 21, of the 800 Block of Shannon Street, Elizabeth City, North Carolina. Officers are investigating this case as a Homicide,” stated the release.
ECPD noted that this is an active and ongoing investigation and anyone with additional information about this incident is asked to contact the Elizabeth City Police Department at 252-335-4321, the Crime Line at 252-335-5555 or FUSUS Text-a-Tip at 252-390-8477. “All information will remain anonymous and strictly confidential,” stated the release.
