Have you ever wondered what Unitarian Universalists believe? Do they believe in God? How do they worship? How did this religion come to be?

The Unitarian Universalist Congregation of the Outer Banks (UUCOB) will hold a UU101 workshop to discuss the history of the Unitarian Universalist faith and discuss the principles and sources of the religion. This short class will be held following the 10:30 a.m. service on January 26 at 11:30 a.m. at the UUCOB meetinghouse located at 831 Herbert Perry Road, on the corner of Herbert Perry and Kitty Hawk Roads. A light lunch will be served to all participants. There is no cost and all are welcome.

The presenter, Rev. Dr. Gaye Morris, is a retired Unitarian Universalist community minister who has taught at the college level. She’s also a volunteer chaplain at the Outer Banks Hospital and co-chair of the North Dare Ministerial Association, and has served as secretary/treasurer of the UU Justice Ministry of North Carolina. She is the founding curator of the Outer Banks Film Society and is co-editor of three books and a published author of articles in books and journals, mainly on film, theology and biblical and religious studies.
