Hyde County Historical and Genealogical Society presented with excellence award

At the 2024 annual conference in Raleigh during October, the NC Genealogical Society awarded the Hyde County Historical & Genealogical Society with its prestigious Award for Excellence in Periodical Publishing.

The Hyde County Historical & Genealogical Society’s High Tides journal has been published in the spring and fall since 1980 and helps the organization fulfill its mission to preserve and record the history of Hyde County and its people.

Current journal editors are Linda Mayo, R.S. Spencer Jr. and Betty Mann.
