Winners announced for 2024 Currituck County Holiday Ornament Contest

The results are in! The winners of the 2024 Currituck County Holiday Ornament Contest were revealed at the annual Holiday Tree Lighting and Parade on Friday night. This year’s theme, “Christmas Around the World,” challenged participants to blend diverse holiday traditions with Currituck’s own cherished symbols and traditions in their ornament designs.
The winners, selected from a pool of talented entrants, are:
- First Place: Eli Brown with “The Perfect Little Christmas Barn”
- Second Place: Kinsley Praley with “Santa Around the World”
- Third Place: Noah Brown with “From Trees to Languages”
- Honorable Mentions:
- Emma Hoyt with “Best of the Beach”
- Bryce Edwards with “Christmas in Currituck”
- Emerald Cison with “Gingerbread Boy Present”
Each design captures the spirit of the season while showcasing the beauty of cultural exchange and community pride.
All honored ornaments are now available for purchase, with proceeds benefiting the Currituck Extension Foundation.
