College of The Albemarle (COA) has announced its recent designation as a Top Ten 2024-2025 Military Spouse Friendly® School. “We are proud to be ranked third among the top ten small community colleges nationwide,” noted the announcement from the school.

College of The Albemarle has been designated as a Military Friendly® School for four years: 2021-2022, Designated, Friendly; 2022-2023, Silver, Friendly; 2023-2024, Gold, Friendly; and 2024-2025, Top Ten, 4th – Small Community Colleges. Additionally, we have been designated as a Military Spouse Friendly® School for three years: 2022-2023, Designated Friendly; 2023-2024, Designated, Friendly; and 2024-2025, Top Ten, 3rd – Small Community Colleges.

Institutions earning the Military Spouse Friendly® School designation were evaluated using public data sources and responses from a proprietary survey. COA was designated as a 2024-2025 Military Spouse Friendly® School for its leading practices, outcomes, and effective programs for military spouses.
