PORTSMOUTH – Lillie Mae O’Neal, 85, passed away on Monday, November 11, 2024. She was born on February 19, 1939 in Hertford, North Carolina to the late William and Bessie Chambers Daughtry. She was also predeceased by her brothers, Charles, John, and Wesley Daughtry.

She is survived by her husband, William Pierce O’Neal; sons, Charles “Charley” O’Neal (Jackie), John O’Neal, and Roger O’Neal; sister, Mary Jane Pridgen (William); brother, Winston Daughtry; and grandchildren, Katelyn Kurasaka (Trent), C.J. O’Neal (Catelyn), John O’Neal, Jacqueline O’Neal, Aryanna O’Neal, and Alexander O’Neal.

A funeral service was held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, November 16, 2024 at Pinecrest Baptist Church. The family received friends from 6-7:30 p.m. Friday evening at Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Pinecrest Baptist Church or charity of choice.
