In the first round of state playoffs, Cape Hatteras Secondary School’s boys soccer team defeated Tarboro 2 to 1 Saturday night in Buxton.

Scoring goals for Hatteras were Axel Valencia-Hernandez and Brody Paddock with an assist by Graham Stutts.

The Hurricanes were scheduled to take on Voyager Academy from Durham on Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2024 at 6 p.m. at the Buxton Back Road facility.
