The North Carolina Education Lottery has reported on a six-figure Cash 5 jackpot win by a Carteret County woman.

Cathy Noe, of Newport, tried her luck playing Cash 5 and won a $346,088 jackpot, her second time getting lucky in the Cash 5 game. She previously won $100,000 in the Cash 5 Bonus Cash promotion in November.

Noe bought her $1 ticket from C Co Mini Mart on U.S. 70 in Newport. Her ticket matched all five numbers in the Aug. 29 drawing to win the jackpot. The odds of matching numbers on all five balls are 1 in 962,598.

Noe claimed her prize at lottery headquarters Friday in Raleigh. After required federal and state tax withholdings, she took home $247,456.
