On June 27 25 teams took to Duck Woods Country Club for the 16th Annual ICO Charity Golf Tournament in support of Interfaith Community Outreach (ICO), an organization that provides assistance to individuals and families in Dare and Currituck counties who are facing a temporary emergency crisis. The organization’s vision is “Bridging the Gap: Where no one will face an Emergency Crisis Alone.”

Over the past 20 years, ICO has provided more than $5.4 million of direct support and has been “bridging the gap” in the community through help with cancer outreach, veteran outreach, home rehab, disaster outreach and mental health outreach.

The golf tournament’s 1st Flight – First Place Team was Coastal Elements Heating & Cooling with a score of 52. Team players were owner Brian Parks, Chris Seward, Jeffery and Thomas Newburn. Coming in second was Carolina Designs with a score of 52 and third place went to Macko Construction with a score of 55.

From its office in Kill Devil Hills, ICO provides direct financial support to residents who are facing a temporary emergency crisis. Last fiscal budget from July 2023-June 2024, ICO was able to give back to the community more than $500,000 in monetary outreach to neighbors facing a temporary emergency crisis. All proceeds from this golf tournament will go to support outreach for ICO.
