Cameron Hale, staff nurse I in the Emergency Department, was named Team Member of the Month for August 2024 at Outer Banks Health.

Hale joined Outer Banks Health in June 2022. Since joining the team, he has established himself as an indispensable team member within the Emergency Department. “He demonstrates tremendous compassion for his patients and fellow team members, and is always willing to jump in if help is needed. A smile and attitude like Hale’s flows throughout the department and helps make every day a good day,” stated the announcement of his award.

One of the first to respond to a patient’s call bell, Hale takes the time to listen and answer questions, and provide a caring environment to patients and their families, noted the announcement. He is always on the lookout for ways to improve his clinical skills, and is described as having a tenacious work ethic.

Hale “is a great asset to the ER and is one of the hardest working nurses,” shared a team member. Another stated “It has been such an honor watching him develop into a professional, compassionate, overall great nurse in the two short years he has been with us.”
