Members of the Duck Woods Country Club finished in second place at the 55+ 3.0 Women’s Doubles Spring USTA North Carolina state championships in Asheville at the end of May.

It was the second consecutive year the team made it to the states finals. In 2023 co-captains Diane Rohan and Penny Lobred guided the team to the semifinals.

This year, partners Rohan and co-captain Maureen Montgomery were 6 and 0 in competition all the way to the finals. Playing against Lake Norman, the Duck Woods team won one and lost two including a tiebreaker.
