Commercial longline golden tilefish closes Aug. 1

North Carolina Marine Fisheries Proclamation FF-31-2024 opens the commercial longline component of the golden tilefish fishery, effective at 12:01 a.m. on July 24, 2024 and closes the fishery at 12:01 a.m. on Aug. 1, 2024.

During the reopening, the commercial trip limit for the commercial longline component for golden tilefish is 4,000 pounds gutted weight.

The commercial longline component of the fishery will re-open at 12:01 a.m. on Jan. 15, 2025.
