Manns Harbor, NC – Warren Bruce Creef, 94, passed peacefully to his eternal heavenly home on Thursday, July 18, 2024, surrounded by his children at his home in Manns Harbor, NC. Born on December 21, 1929, in East Lake, NC, he lived a long, fulfilling life marked by dedication and service to his family, community, and church.

Warren retired from the NCDOT – Ferry Division after an impressive 44-year career. His commitment to serving others extended beyond his professional life; he was a faithful member of Mt Carmel Methodist Church since 1965. Throughout his membership, he served as lay leader and participated on various boards. Alongside his wife, Edna Hassell Creef, Warren also devoted over 30 years as custodian and groundskeeper for the church.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Edna Hassell Creef; one great-grandson; his parents, Pearl Twiford Creef and Elmer Bruce Creef; sister, Alice Tillett; and brother, Willis Creef.

Warren is survived by his loving family, including two daughters, Rhonda Creef and Wendy Creef Parks; three sons, Bruce Creef, Rocky Creef (Suzanne), and Greg Creef (Anna); sixteen grandchildren; thirty-one great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson. He is also survived by his sister, Theresa Temple, and a large extended family.

The family will receive friends and relatives for a visitation on Sunday, July 21, 2024, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Mt. Carmel Methodist Church. A funeral service will be held at the church on Monday, July 22nd, at 1 p.m. A private graveside committal will take place in the church cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Mt Zion Methodist Church, PO Box 300, Manns Harbor, NC 27953.

Warren Bruce Creef will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His legacy of faith and service will continue to inspire those who knew and loved him.
