The North Carolina Beach Buggy Association (NCBBA) recently made a sizeable donation to support an important Hatteras Island organization.
NCBBA president Al Adam presented a $5000 check to Cape Hatteras United Methodist Men (CHUMM) in recognition of their outstanding community service work in 2023. CHUMM works closely with Social Services in Dare County to recognize those who need special help.
NCBBA recognizes many organizations for their service to the community.
Audrey and Gene Schwester, who have run the CHUMM food assistance program for 24 years, were present with director Dennis Carroll to accept the donation from Adam.
“We at NCBBA are proud to support the fine work by CHUMM,” noted NCBBA.
