With the indoor state finals a week away, several First Flight athletes used the February 2, 2024 Virginia Beach Sports Center 61st East Coast Invitational as a tune up workout.

Getting her second best throw this season on her last effort, Catalina Lokie tossed the shot just over 32 feet one inch to place fifth out of 48 participants. She was also the top North Carolina finisher.

Another top performance included Moira Furr finishing second in the 1000 against 78 other runners.
