“We can’t control where abused and neglected children come from, but we can have something to do with where they end up by becoming a Guardian ad Litem Program volunteer,” noted a news release from North Carolina Judicial Branch’s Guardian ad Litem Division.
Those who have been trying to think of a way to give back to the community might consider the Guardian ad Litem Program to make a difference in the life of an abused and neglected child. No specific education or experience is required to volunteer for this program; only a true desire to “Be A Voice for a child in the Community.”
Contact the local program to learn more at 252-331-4562 or visit volunteerforgal.org.
“Every abused or neglected child deserves to have their voice heard in court!!” noted the release.
