VusicOBX presents “New Year’s on the Banks.” This is a three-day, two-night music takeover at the Hilton Garden Inn from December 30 through January 1. The weekend will be anchored by the two main event evening concerts and filled in with special side event activations among the attending artists. With live music from bands including The Movement, Little Stranger, Cultivated Mind, Andy Frasco & The U.N., and Dale and the ZDubs, this is an event you won’t want to miss! New Year’s Day Polar Plunge at Kitty Hawk Pier. This event is open to the public and includes a “polar” plunge into the Atlantic Ocean for charity, with Andy Frasco & Friends. Join in this “cool” experience from 9 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at the Kitty Hawk Pier Beach at Hilton Garden Inn on January 1. The cost is free, however donations are appreciated. The “Platinum Plunge” is $40, which includes a commemorative towel. All are welcome to attend to watch or plunge for free and/or donate to the cause. The theme is outer space/alien; costumes are encouraged but not required. The Treehouse Coffee food truck will be on site serving up warm drinks and breakfast goodies for purchase. Kill Devil Hills

Hi-Vibe Holistics invites everyone to an open jam session on New Year’s Day. Calling all musicians and music lovers to come on out on January 1, 2024 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. for an open jam hosted by Dan Martier, Ed Tupper and Bobby Soto. Enjoy a set by this trio of amazing musicians, followed by an open jam. “We can’t wait to hear all the magic the Outer Banks musical community has to offer!”

The Jolly Roger is celebrating NYE in style. The crew will be serving dinner until midnight and the bar will be open until 2 a.m. Enjoy free champagne and party favors at midnight, karaoke, no cover, no minimum and plenty of dancing. After midnight, enjoy free kielbasa, black eyed peas and sauerkraut for good luck and be sure to purchase some of their delicious homemade desserts to take care of that sweet tooth.

The Outer Banks Brewing Station is hosting their annual NYE celebration, presented by Funkamongus US and with music by DJ Black King. Don’t miss the champagne toast and ball drop at midnight. $10 cover at the door. Event starts at 10 p.m.

Two Roads Tavern (McAllister’s Corner) invites everyone to join them on NYE from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. for a New Year’s Eve Oyster & Pig Roast, featuring local band Hot Sauce. Enjoy Home Alone inspired cocktails, delicious oysters and BBQ alongside some awesome live music.

Colington

The Blue Crab Tavern (Sandy Claws Tavern) is bidding farewell to 2023 with a nostalgic celebration on the soundside. Relive the charm of yesteryears with a vinyl revival featuring classic 45s straight from the original Creekside/Blue Crab jukebox of the late 80s. Get ready for a trip down memory lane with some country, pop and rock hits that will transport you to a bygone era. Don’t forget to bring your own favorite records to share and add your personal touch to the musical journey. Complimentary snacks all night with a champagne toast at midnight. Event starts at 8 p.m.

Roanoke Island

Ring in the New Year at Midnight Magic in Downtown Manteo! On NYE, guests can enjoy live music, games and activities for kids, food vendors, fireworks at more. The event will kick off at 6 p.m. Fireworks will be at 8 p.m. The Riggsbee Road Band, an all-female country and new-grass band out of Raleigh, will be covering a wide variety of tunes for everyone to enjoy. This year, glow-in-the-dark mini golf will be at George Washington Creef Park during the festivities. This 18-hole course will have LED Glow Blasters, which are super bright, colorful balls. They have LED beams that project 45 feet of glow left to right and are the only one of its kind in mini glow golf! Bring the whole family for a night of fun.

Blue Water Grill & Raw Bar is serving up a five-course dinner, crafted by Chef Timmy for NYE. Seating will start at 4 p.m. with the last seating taking place at 9:45 p.m. Call the restaurant for reservations, or head over to their website at bluewatergrillobx.com.  $100 per person without wine and $130 per person with wine pairing.

Hatteras Island  

Café Pamlico in Buxton will host an exquisite dining experience on NYE. For $95 per person, savor a delectable 4-course menu, complete with a complimentary glass of bubbly! Call to reserve your table: 252-995-4500.

Hatteras Island Cancer Foundation will be hosting a NYE dance from 8 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. on December 31. Tickets are $50 is purchased before the event, $60 at the door. Must be 21 years old or older to attend this event. Join the party for a great cause and dance the night away!

Pamlico Deli in Frisco is offering a five-course wine-paired dinner on NYE. Live music provided through dinner and the after-dinner part. Dinner, drinks, transportation and entertainment all included in ticket price. Call 252-995-3305 to reserve your spot. Don’t forget to dress to impress!
