Tyrrell County Schools announces strong test scores

Tyrrell County Schools has announced that all three of its schools met growth expectations, with Tyrrell Elementary School exceeding growth expectations.
Tyrrell Elementary School’s proficiency score increased by over 20 percent and its letter grade increased.
Columbia Middle School also met growth, increased in proficiency and maintained its letter grade. At the High School level, there was an increase in proficiency percentages in Math 1, Math 3 and English 2. In addition, Columbia Early College High School’s graduation rate is higher than the state average.
“We are very proud of the progress our schools have made,” said Superintendent Dr. Karen Roseboro. “This is a testament to the hard work of our students, teachers, and staff. We are committed to providing a high-quality education for all of our students, and these results show that we are on the right track.”
