Traffic diverted on NC 12 in Kill Devil Hills for structure fire

A structure fire was reported at 1825 N. Virginia Dare Trail in Kill Devil Hills at around 3 a.m. on Friday, August 11, 2023. The rental house was fully involved and area fire departments are on scene working the fire and NC 12 is closed to through traffic in the area. Traffic will be diverted to the bypass at 3rd Street on the south side and 5th Street on the north side.
According to the Kill Devil Hills Police Department, there are casualties, however more information will not be released until all information can be verified.
