The Dare County Sheriff’s Office has reported the arrest of a woman on drug charges following a traffic stop.

According to a DCSO press release, on April 14, 2023 at approximately 4:51 p.m., deputies working the C-District conducted a traffic stop on NC Hwy 12 near the Basnight Bridge in Nags Head.

“The vehicle was searched after an investigation and an amount of Methamphetamine, Marijuana and Drug Paraphernalia were located and seized,” stated the release.

Nora Nicole Leach, 50, was arrested and charged with felony possession of methamphetamine, misdemeanor possession of marijuana, misdemeanor possession of marijuana paraphernalia and cited for speeding and no operator’s license.

She was given a $5,000 secured bond.
