As part of its Earth Day Celebration on Saturday April 22, the Rodanthe-Waves-Salvo Civic Association is holding a free “plant swap.”

The celebration happens between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. at the Rodanthe-Waves-Salvo Community Building, located at 23646 NC 12. A space will be set up for community members to share and swap flowers, seeds, bulbs or other items.

Have too many “plant babies” and want to share? Looking to try something new? Bought a six-pack of tomatoes but only need four? Here’s the place to meet up with others and share the bounty.

Whether seed packs, bulbs, indoor plants, flowers, shrubs or baby trees, all plants are welcome.

Don’t have any plants to share but curious to try? Check out this plant swap.

Other Earth Day events onsite include information booths by local agencies as well as raffles and food sales to benefit the civic association’s scholarship fund.
