At its March meeting, Dare County planning board quickly approved a subdivision in Manns Harbor at its March meeting.

Possible Properties, LLC is creating six residential lots on 11.13 acres at 7642 Shipyard Rd. The property size precludes administrative approval for the subdivision.

The smallest lot area is 20,002 square feet. The largest is lot 6 at 76,791 square feet.

The lots will be accessed via an 18-foot wide asphalt road. Possible Properties must make sure the road is capable of handling emergency and trash collection vehicles.

The developer cannot disturb any ground until federal and state permits are approved.

At the end of the 10 minute meeting, Dare County planning director Noah Gillam rose to report on a Dare County Board of Commissioners discussion. He told the planning board members to look for some changes in the cluster home ordinance.

Beth Midgett presided at this meeting due to the absence of Chairman John Finelli, who was traveling. Also absent were David Hines and David Overton.
