The Hatteras Island Cancer Foundation recently announced that it will publish a new “Cooking for a Cause, Vol. 4” cookbook and is seeking community help in filling it with tried and true favorite recipes.

The Vol. 3 cookbook featured a collection of recipes from Hatteras Island residents and friends who love cooking. The long-awaited Vol. 4 is expected to be in area stores this spring.

All are welcome to participate and 100% of the proceeds will help Hatteras Island residents battling cancer pay their expenses, such as medical bills and prescriptions not covered by insurance, as well as travel costs for treatments.

To add recipes, go to typensave.com/get-started/ and enter the username HICF Vol 4 and password: broil302. Feel free to make a notation that recipes are in honor of or in memory of a loved one who battled or is battling cancer.

The deadline to submit recipes is March 15, 2023.
